The parks located in the southwest consist of: 12 Mile Coulee, Baker Park, Bowness Park and Bowmont Park; Southwest parks comprise: Battalion Park, Clearwater Park, Edworthy park and Douglas Fir Trail; Southeast parks include: Beaverdam Flats, Carburn Park, Centenary Park, and Elliston Park; Parks within northeast comprise: Bottomlands Park, Laycock park and Big Marlborough Park.
Oil and gas are the biggest contributors to Calgary's GDP, because the city is home to large oil businesses, including Encana, BP, Imperial Oil, Suncor Energy, TransCanada and Shell Canada. Other large businesses situated within Calgary are NOVA Chemicals, Shaw Communications, Nexen, Telus, Shell Canada, Dow Chemical Canada and CNRL.
